～があります・～がいます ＝ There is /are ～
『～があります・～がいます』は、『There is 単数名詞 ～. / There are 複数名詞 ～.』 を使います。
There is /are ～（例文）
■ 机の上に一冊の本があります。
→ There is a book on the desk .
■ 机の上に何冊かの本があります。
→ There are some books on the desk .
～がありません・～がいません ＝ There is /are ＋ not
『～がありせん・～がいません』は、『There is not 単数名詞 ～.』『There are not 複数名詞 ～.』を使います。
There is /are ＋ not（例文）
■ この近くにその駅はありません。
→ There is not the station near here .
■ 机の上に少しも本がありせん。
→ There are not any books on the desk .
『not any』と『no』は同じ意味
There are not any books on the desk . ＝ There are no books on the desk .
～がありますか・～がいますか ＝ Is /Are there ～ ?
『～がありますか・～がいますか』は、『Is there 単数名詞 ～?/Are there 複数名詞 ～?』を使います。

『there is/are』の構文を過去にする場合、『be動詞を過去形』にするだけでOK。
